Xishan Scenic Spot (formerly xiufanggou scenic spot) is a new natural scenic spot built by Shaanxi Zhaojin zhengyulong Tourism Development Co., Ltd. Located in Zhaojin Town, Yaozhou District, Tongchuan City, with Hefeng expressway, Liuzhao road and yaoxun Road, the traffic conditions are very convenient. Located in Xiufang Valley at the south end of Ziwuling in Qiaoshan mountain range, it is the core area of Zhaojin Danxia landform, and also the original scene of Xi Shan travel map by fan Kuan in Northern Song Dynasty. The natural landscape is beautiful and rich in history and culture.
According to legend, when Ming Emperor Yu Wenyu of the Northern Zhou Dynasty was the governor of Yizhou (formerly known as Yaozhou) in the Western Wei Dynasty, he selected palace maids for the emperor of the Western Wei Dynasty and concentrated here to make embroidery rooms and learn palace etiquette, so it is called xiunvfanggou. Fan Kuan, a famous painter in the later Northern Song Dynasty, was born in Huayuan, Shaanxi Province (now from Yaozhou District, Tongchuan City, Shaanxi Province). His works include traveling in Xishan, Xiaosi in Xueshan, and cold forest in Xuejing. Traveling in Xishan is one of the most famous paintings in the world, known as "the first masterpiece of painting in Song Dynasty". Now the original is in the Palace Museum of Taipei, which is the Palace Museum of Taipei The first of the three treasures of painting (Guo Xi's early spring painting and Li Tang's Wanhe SONGFENG), according to experts' research, this is the original scene of Xi Shan travel painting, and the scenic spot of Xi Shan also gets its name.
There are not only unique geological landscape, but also beautiful natural scenery in the scenic area. Danxia landform is created by the uncanny workmanship of nature. The mountains here are majestic, the peaks are numerous, the shapes are different and lifelike. Some of them are as proud and powerful as a lion; some of them are like a hump and walk in the mountains; some of them are like sleeping Buddha lying on his back with a lifelike look; there are several caves, which are made of nature, deep and dark; the most spectacular place is a line of sky wonders. There is a crack between the huge rocks, which is less than a foot wide and hundreds of meters long, just like a blue rainbow in the sky, The pedestrians are sad. It has both "the danger of Huashan Mountain" and "the beauty of Nanshan Mountain", which embodies the greatest surprise that nature can give to human beings. It is also an important place for Danxia landform geological research.
"There are flowers in spring, moon in autumn, cool wind in summer and snow in winter" in the scenic area. In spring, a hundred flowers are blooming all over the mountain, yellow Forsythia is rich and dignified, and pink hickory is charming and moving; in summer, the vegetation is dense, listening to the birds, the pines and the rocks near the stream, which is cool and pleasant; in autumn, the leaves of Cotinus coggygris are red, all over the mountains, and the forests are dyed like rosy clouds; in winter, there are groups of ice waterfalls, crystal clear, and ten li glaciers are surrounded by the mountains like jade belts.
The vegetation here is dense, and the forest coverage rate is more than 90%. Pine and cypress, Cotinus coggygria, Liquidambar formosana, oak, duri and other local tree species are dominant. There are also more than 20 kinds of Chinese medicinal materials, such as Forsythia suspense, Codonopsis pilosula and Astragalus membranaceus. The common animals are wild boar, badger, pheasant, duck and so on. In particular, the protective development of natural resources has made the ecosystem well protected and restored. It has become one of the main habitats for Crested Ibis, black stork, heron and other rare animals cultivated and released in the north of Qinling Mountains in recent years.
At present, the water circuit, natural gas, monitoring voice and other infrastructure of the first phase of Xishan Scenic Spot have been completed. The tourist service center, ecological parking lot, Xishan cultural and creative block, Xishan Yiju Hotel, railway station bar, forest health cabin and Huali Xishan are open to the public. The Xishan painting gallery, Danxia Science Museum, coal culture exhibition hall, Star Inn cableway and other projects have also been completed to be finished. The scenic spot started operation on May 1.

Xishan Scenic Spot has won the honorary titles of national AAA scenic spot, 2017 national preferred tourism project, 2018 National Forest Rehabilitation base pilot construction unit, etc., and has won the awards of Shaanxi Association of fine arts Tongchuan zhaojinxishan scenic spot sketch base, Xi'an Academy of fine arts students off campus practice education base, Xi'an Chinese painting Research Association Tongchuan Xishan Scenic Spot creation research base, etc . It is an original ecological experience tourist resort integrating forest health, summer vacation, painting and sketching, holiday sightseeing, entertainment and catering.
